As most of you know I am a huge fan of Ninjabi.com and the artist, Amethyst’s work. I’m her groupie. I often use her work in my classes on Islam because when I’m doing units on women and Islam, I find it easiest to use her work to convey sentiments of Muslim America, women, veiling, and transnationalism to college kids. They’re so receptive to her work and I love her work because it does a much better job reaching them then me standing in front of them using giant words and blabbing. And besides that, I would much rather talk about her work than transnationalism or some puffy theories that people in ivory towers have written. *snore*
So anyway, where was I going with this? Oh yes, Ninjabi is now on Facebook!
